Morton Solar & Electric to open office in Mt. Carmel, Illinois

Morton Solar & Electric announces the opening of a new location in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. The office is located in the Mt. Carmel Public Works building at 602 E 5th Street and will allow Morton to better serve customers in the Southern Illinois region. The office will provide information such as the current pricing of the Illinois Adjustable Block Program www.illinoisshines.com, and allow customers to obtain information about solar systems and/or request a meeting with a solar consultant. An official ribbon cutting will be scheduled and held in the near future.

Morton is a solar pioneer in the region and installed some of the first solar energy systems in Southern Indiana and Southern Illinois. Examples of such projects include the first net-zero library in the United States in Chrisney, Indiana (2010), and the Baptist Children's Hospital in Carmi, Illinois in Wayne-White service territory (2012).
